The Loyola University New Orleans Alumni Association and the Jesuit Center are co-sponsoring a series of Lenten concerts and lectures, “Sacred Music and Sacred Words:” A Lenten Series. The series begins on Wednesday, February 13, and all are free and open to the public.

The Rev. Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J., Ph.D., and Inspector General Robert Cerasoli featured on NPR

The Rev. Kevin Wm. Wildes, S.J., Ph.D., and Inspector General Robert Cerasoli were interviewed by National Public Radio on January 24. Wildes is chair of the Ethics Review Board, which was responsible for hiring Cerasoli. They discussed the difficulties with New Orleans’ bureaucracy in trying to hire staff for the Inspector General’s office.

Loyola University New Orleans College of Law’s Institute for Continuing Legal Education presents Crimes, Causes, and the Courtroom, a one-man show featuring the legal brilliance and chaotic life of attorney-at-law Clarence Darrow. The performance will be held Wednesday, February 13, at 6:30 p.m., in Roussel Hall.

Trenese Smith named NAIA Division I’s National Player of the Week and LSWA’s Player of the Week

Trenese Smith is Loyola University New Orleans’ first player ever to be named NAIA Division I National Player of the Week. Smith was also named Louisiana Sports Writers Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week last week. Smith is ranked seventh in the NAIA in scoring, averaging 20.1 points per game and has scored her 1,000th career point.
