Tribute concert helps fund Loyola scholarship, local charities

“A Christmas Concert for Catherine” will be held in Loyola University New Orleans’ Nunemaker Hall on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 7 p.m. and will feature the vocal talents of Loyola’s own Sal Liberto, Crystal Vaccaro and Ken Weber, with a special guest performance by St. Phillip Neri’s Adult Choir.

School of Nursing holds final open houses before application deadline

The Loyola University New Orleans School of Nursing will hold several online open houses in December and January for qualified nurses interested in pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. The open houses will offer information about the Post-Masters to D.N.P. program and the newly created Bachelor of Science in Nursing to D.N.P. program.

Physics professor elected to distinguished fellowship in American Physical Society

Carl Brans, Ph.D., emeritus professor of physics at Loyola University New Orleans, has been elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society for his outstanding contribution to physics, in particular for developing the Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor gravitational theory, an alternative to Albert Einstein's theory of general relativity.
