Loyola announces Centennial Guest Series lineup

Loyola University New Orleans is celebrating its centennial throughout 2012-13 with a series of events featuring acclaimed guest speakers, authors and artists. The series will provide an array of cultural, artistic, Catholic and intellectual perspectives. Each will supplement Loyola's mission of providing outstanding holistic Jesuit education and serving the New Orleans community.

Loyola University New Orleans communications alumna Rhonda Shear '77, has been Miss Louisiana, Queen of Endymion, host of "USA Up All Night" and a television actress. Now she's achieved accolades from her peers as a successful businesswoman.

Law alumna recognized for work in Catholic Church and community

A Loyola University New Orleans College of Law alumna, currently preparing to become a nun with a local congregation, was recently named by the National Catholic Reporter as one of its inaugural "12 Catholic women under 40 making a difference." Loyola hosts free National Community Band concert

Loyola's School of Nursing holds virtual open houses

Primary care health professionals are needed now more than ever as the country prepares to deliver unprecedented medical coverage to its citizens through the Affordable Care Act. Loyola University New Orleans' School of Nursing has expanded its commitment to preparing the primary care workforce and is holding several online open houses in July and August for qualified nurses interested in pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
