Art and Design professor hosts 'Confabulation' exhibit during White Linen Night

August 2, 2013

Loyola University New Orleans art and design professor Karoline Schleh will be the featured artist at a one-night-only exhibit running concurrently with the annual White Linen Night, Saturday, Aug. 3, in the Warehouse Arts District.

The exhibit, "Confabulation," will include an artist's reception with refreshments and live music, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Kirin Gallery, 838 Camp Street.

"Confabulation" refers to an informal conversation or plausible, but imagined, memory that fills in the gaps of what is actually remembered. The exhibition title reflects Schleh’s effort to describe her new ethereal paintings and drawings, which include floating shirts, vintage movie actors and her signature backwards script, among other elements.

For more information, contact Schleh.
