Prior to receiving his doctorate in Marketing, Dr. Capella spent almost 10 years in professional sales management with a food manufacturer. His industry experience included account management and relationship marketing with large retail grocery chains, wholesale accounts and channel intermediaries in Georgia, Florida and California.

“In our search for this role we were looking for someone with a clear vision for growth, creativity and entrepreneurship,” said Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Maria Calzada, Ph.D. “We are thrilled to have found exactly the person we were looking for in Dr. Capella.”

“I am enthusiastic to serve as the next Dean of the Loyola University New Orleans Joseph A. Butt, S.J, College of Business and humbled by the opportunity to do so,” Dr. Capella said. “It is truly an honor and privilege to be the Dean and I am grateful for the confidence and support of Provost Calzada, President Tetlow, and the faculty in the College of Business. The strong academic reputation and mission of the University along with the goal of ‘educating the whole person’ are some of the key attributes that attracted me to Loyola University New Orleans.”
